Right now I am enjoying a homemade iced tea with some strawberry puree with berries from my garden. This weekend has been particularly low-key which, to me, is probably for the best. As I age, the less excitement is wanted. Oh and do you want to hear a secret?
Craving Sweet ‘n’ Salty
I am not actually enjoying this iced tea. What I really want is a Sweet ‘n’ Salty from Seven Brew. But, I have gained 80 pounds in the last three years, so iced tea it is. The strawberries help, sort of.
Bath Time for Cheese
My beloved is currently batheing one of our cats, Cheese. This cat is a big baby. He is wailing like a stuck pig. Poor thing. They say maternal instincts kick in when your babies are crying; I am not sure I have those instincts.
Whenever I am around a crying child, I go into flight mode (not even bothering with ‘fight’ being an option). I expect it to stay that way. I feel bad the cat though.
The other three cats have no idea what they are going to go through when my spousal unit is done with Cheese. Run my children, run and hide. Let’s move on.
Poisonous Plant Garden
Last Saturday, I snagged a new addition to my poisoned plants garden. That purple foxglove was seducing me as it sat there intimidating some petunias. I knew it had to be mine. The petunias likely are relieved as well.
Garden and Cats
I never explicitly wanted to have a poisonous plant garden, and it really isn’t quite that; there are some non-poisonous plants, but it just seems to be turning out that way. I never planned on being owned by four cats either, yet here we are (as I pick cat hairs out of my nose, having breathed them in while I sigh, longing for the Sweet ‘n’ Salty).
Grey Sky and Tiger Lilies
Right now the tiger lilies are blooming in the garden, and the sky is grey and melancholic. I gave in and got a Sweet ‘n’ Salty… sugar free. This article is basically a disaster, so I think I am done with it. See you next time, loves.
